In a small woodsy Oregon town, a group of friends--sensitive Gordie (Wil Wheaton), tough guy Chris (River Phoenix), flamboyant Teddy (Corey Feldman), and scaredy-cat Vern (Jerry O'Connell)--are in search of a missing teenager's body. Wanting to be heroes in each other's and their hometown's eyes, they set out on an unforgettable two-day trek that turns into an odyssey of self-discovery. They sneak smokes, tell tall tales, cuss 'cause it's cool and band together when the going gets tough. When they encounter the town's knife-wielding hoods who are also after the body, the boys discover a strength they never knew they had. Just like watching my childhood in the 70's in Iowa all over again! Classic! My friends & I did the same thing as these kids. Hung out in the woods in our make shift forts of scrap would all day near the local rock quarries. Crystal clear bass ponds every where. Then walked the rail road tracks home.

I love this movie so much and although I wasn't born when this movie was made.... It still probably my favorite movie ever. River Phoenix my favorite actor who played Chris Chambers was such an amazing actor I've always liked him and I probably always will its so sad that he died at such a young age i'll all miss him for very long time ....Corey Feldman my second favorite actor in this movie who also plays in my second favorite movie The Lost Boys he is an amazing actor and probably would have been a joyful guy to work with.... Kiefer Sutherland was such an amazing bad guy he's hard not to like. ace is my third favorite in this movie... Wil Wheaton is an amazing actor he played Gordy in the movie I love the movie and so it just makes me love him..... Jerry O'Connell is such an amazing character and he made me laugh so much in this movie that I just couldn't stop watching it.... To all the actors of this movie you all did an amazing job this movie wouldn't be the same with out any of you good job from your biggest fan... In the end it said "I never had friends like when I was twelve" this movie had a great impact on my life I'll never know why?

Classic movie that is suitable to watch with the family. Brings back memories of similar events that we have all experience in one way or another and the bond with childhood friends that are with us forever.
