This was terrific. Since this version of Star Trek went the alternate (aka Kelvin) Timeline route, of course there were going to be changes. I thought that it was a great origin story for Kirk, Spock, and the rest of the TOS cast. Bruce Greenwood was good as Captain Pike, I liked Tyler Perry's cameo as the StarFleet Academy Commandant, I can't believe Winona Ryder is old enough to be Spock's mom (!), and Leonard Nimoy is incredible as TOS Spock (as is right and proper). I enjoyed this movie.

Terrible acting, bad plot, like last three Star Wars movies, not worth it even if you watch it free. Might as well rename them all Star Dumb.

I enjoyed the movie. I think when a remake is done then, it should be of its own ideas. With that in mind Nemoy did an excellent job. I am a trekkie, and I love movies. If the movie was like the 1060's then we would all go to sleep halfway through. โฅ๏ธ๐๐
