The storyline can't happen (look up USS Relativity) and everything shows a blatant disregard for everything the franchise has built. Had it for not tried to be a Star Trek movie it would have been OK, pretty but with a fairly thin story.

While well written and stylishly presented, this reboot lacks the intelligence that made the film's of old so special. An excellent film standing alone, but doesn't have the same heart of the originals. 4 stars.
