À propos de ce film

From Producer J.J. Abrams comes one of the best-reviewed action movies of the year. Dispatched on a rescue mission to the farthest reaches of space the USS Enterprise is ambushed by Krall a ruthless warlord sworn against the Federation. Crash-landing on an uncharted hostile world Captain Kirk Spock and the crew are separated with no means of escape. Only Jaylah a rebellious alien warrior can help them reunite and find a way off the planet in a race against time to stop Krall's deadly army from triggering all-out galactic war.

The first movie hit the spot with lots of comedy and light and shade. A classic you can watch over and over. I'm struggling to give this one 3 stars. I found myself fast forwarding parts. had to fast-forward though long long fight scenes. Seemed formulaic "bad guy causing havoc and devastation on an epic scale" --> "Enterprise crew hunt down and defeat the bad guy against insurmountable odds".

I didn't know what to expect with this 3rd installment of the re-boot. Especially since the the trailer made absolutely no sense at all. However as the bulk of the reviews attest too, this is one awesome installment. The studio should have had more faith in the movie me and put some decent marketing dollars behind it and it would have made a hell of a lot more at the box office. Missed opportunity for them. Great rotten tomato score and for good reason.

There are no words to express how beyond bad this movie is. I am a huge Star Trek fan, but this installment was a cross between a John Woo over-the-top action and a Simon Pegg comedy farce, without the good bits from either. Please, please, please, do not let Simon Pegg destroy this franchise.
