It is the 23rd century. The Federation Starship U.S.S. Enterprise™ is on routine training maneuvers and Admiral James T. My only beef with this flick is the overuse of model shots and screen sets from the previous film. Otherwise great film with stellar performances by all, but especially Kristie Alley and Ricardo Montalban.

This is by far my favorite Star Trek movie of all time! Its amazing when you consider the fact that it was made in 1982! Ricardo Montalban (Khan) put on an exceptional performance as well as the rest of the Star Trek cast. I'm still shocked after all these years that this film didnt win a single academy award. The soundtrack is second to none! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Classic Star Trek Holds up to Time. Most everything in this movie still holds up. The ear monster is the only bad looking effect. The story line is solid. The acting is nearly perfect from all. Hardcore TOS Fans like me own multiple copies and will always buy more. If your new to these movies, start with this one, you won't regret it
