Despite a slow jogging pace, leading to a boring first half, the story starts to pick up in the second half. The Visual Effects look great but they overshadow the rest of the movie. The lack of action & characterizations may be odd at first but these aspects suited the film.

A truly misunderstood classic! Slow pacing but with a story unlike any other Star Trek franchise. And a beautiful music score!
