I made mistake of getting all Game of Thrones through Googleplay .My internet is not slow but all streaming services add something called dithering. It groups same or similar shades of colour into large blocks of pixels, to reduce file size and improve streaming speeds. Its fine in bright white scenes but dark scenes look terrible. Idk why they insist on doing this rather than giving the option to pre-download an uncompressed version. On my phone, I was able to predownload purchases but not on my PC... and my PC I use for everything. Also, I have a 1440p display monitor and bought a chromecast Ultra also. But unless your display is 4k, you only get a 1080 or 720p option when purchasing the 4k version. I guess its understandable though. But would be nice to be able to play the 4k version and have it reduced/scaled to bottleneck at 1440p on my monitor. This work fine on 4k youtube or other videos, I don't see why it has been done this way with google play videos. Generally, online video renting is convenient, but if you want to buy a collection like this, get blu-ray or 4k discs. The quality is much better.

Could get the same movies for cheaper before the big mouse took over, they only added 3 extra movies and jacked the price right up from a 6 movie box set price of 20-30AUD dollars to about 90AUD for only 3 extra movies and no addons.
