Starry Eyes was a revelation, a totally bonkers, unflinching look at the horrors of selling ones soul to be famous. Like Cronenberg's body horror days, it takes an abstract concept and makes it physical. I'm not squeamish, but even I had to look away several times during the film. Alex Essoe is a revelation as Sara, delivering a knockout performance that was uncomfortable to watch at times...this is a movie that could've easily devolved into camp without a solid lead, and she delivers in spades. The direction, tone, mood and awesome 80s synth score by Jonathan Snipes are all effective, almost too effective as the film hurtles toward a violent, heartbreaking climax. Highly recommended. Aaron B. Koontz, Travis Stevens, Dennis Widmyer, Kevin Kolsch, you've created a horror classic and should be proud.

I really liked this movie, it's about a girl trying to make it in Hollywood, acting, she's hell bent on getting IN and at first I didn't know that I liked it but more I watched I couldn't turn away it's pretty captivating for low..I was on her side towards the end..even after I thought she was an idiot at begin...

I really enjoyed this film. It kept my interest with its darkness and cult Hollywood mind control which I believe to be unmistakably happening within the entertainment business and many forms of media today. This film combined elements of horror, suspense, gore and mind bending madness. I felt it to be well written and acted. The ending is brutal. Watch for yourself. I give it 2 illuminati all seeing eyes up!! Lol
