The battle wages on in this companion piece to the successful feature film about soldiers defending the galaxy against the indifferent insects who feed on their brains and seek to eradicate humanity from the far reaching corners of the universe. Trapped at an abandoned base awaiting rescue, a group of marooned soldiers soon realize not everyone is as they appear. The bugs have found a way to take over bodies and have infiltrated their ranks. Now, with time running out before the entire base is overrun, the troopers must expose the traitors in their midst and figure out a way to freedom in this graphic action film about justice, honor and the battle for survival.

Ratings and reviews

Yeah it's bad. If you're a Starship Troopers fan you'll only lose a few brain cells watching it and I've spent 90 minutes doing worse things but it's rough. It's hard to find positives about it. I guess the bug CGI was relatively decent and the actresses were good looking but that's it. The plot was forced, the acting was marginal, and most scenes left you saying "Wait, really?".

Love the first movie, it was light-hearted and fun. This one was just too dark for me. Sinister almost. Creeped me out and I didnt enjoy it one bit. My 2 stars for the SFX, nothing more.
