Dr. Alan Stone (Richard Gere) has found Jesus -- three times. Stone is a psychiatrist charged with providing treatment to three different paranoid schizophrenic patients who all believe that they are Jesus Christ (Peter Dinklage, Bradley Whitford, Walton Goggins). Stone brings the trio together, confronts them with their conflicting claims and coaxes them into forging a unique support group.
