I understand this movie was made in 1990, but WOW it was horrible. It's not scary at all, Pennywise is a joke I just laughed at him, the graphics are so cheap looking and way too many flashbacks. Thank goodness IT was remade the right way, the first movie is made with kids and giving us their complete back story & the second movie they're adults so in IT part 2 flashbacks should be minimum to none at all.

Huge horror buff....The original mini series was great..corny...but great. The new movie in theaters is atrocious..trying to make you jump out of your seat so many times it gets annoying. Twas more a comedy than a horror, and it honestly felt like it was making fun of the original. No character adaptation...so you have no clue why these kids are being attacked by different monsters. It's supposed to tell you about each kid and their personal fears, which in turn makes it even more scary because you would feel like you were in their place..living their fears...but no, they skipped right over that and just flat out destroyed an original masterpiece...Steven King should be embarrassed by this. And anyone who gives the new movie in 2017 a thumbs up has no idea what real horror is..if you were afraid of clowns and were able to watch this CLEARLY they did NOT justify or capture the fearsome beast on screen the way it should be...Go watch Clown. It's absolutely amazing! Not even slightly corny and 100% well done! And you probably won't sleep at night if you're afraid of clowns...ISN'T THAT THE POINT?!

The honest truth, when I first saw this movie opening day, I thought it was incredibly cheesy so, you can just imagine how I view it today. Corny, cheesy, bad acting, terrible sfx and terrible production. The new movie isn't all that great either but, an academy award winner compared to this HORR-IBLE flick. Everyone now is jumping on the wagon but, save yourself the time and money.
