Slow-paced for a reason, guys. They lived in a slow, dusty, dry town in the Australian desert. The parents were waiting, waiting, waiting for their children to be found. Only American films have to have action every minute. (I'm American.) The acting was great, I love Hugo Weaving, he's always good!! Nicole Kidman is an amazing actress, wish she'd lay off the botox, though. She would be more expressive if her face had some movement- wrinkles aren't a crime. Oh, right, in Hollywood they're a felony.

Strangerland is film about shame, loneliness, guilt. The Famliy in this film had a bad patch and never faced together and as a result the lack of communication slowly destroys everyone's trust and it comes to a feverpitch when the daughter runs away. The lesson learned for me was talk to your loved ones and don't bottle up the pain cause it will hurt you and the ones you love the must. Plus the soundtrack is cool too.

Though the characters are intense and all seem to have issues, the story in itself ends up nowhere and offers very little closure or insight to most of the characters. Very drawn out and was expecting a bit more and just ends up feeling very incomplete. I am very sick of movies ending so open ended or unresolved, this needs to stop.
