लॉरेटा सेज के उपन्यासों में प्राचीन कब्रों और साहसी कारनामों की भरमार होती है, पर इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि असली ज़िंदगी में भी वह इस सबके लिए तैयार हो। जब एक पौराणिक लापता शहर की तलाश में एक सनकी अरबपति लॉरेटा का अपहरण कर लेता है, उसकी किताब का खूबसूरत कवर मॉडल, ऐलन, एक साहसी, पर दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बचाव मिशन पर निकल पड़ता है। जंगल के एक ज़बरदस्त रोमांचक रास्ते पर, इस जोड़े को जीवित रहने और एक दूसरे के साथ बने रहने, और इससे पहले कि शहर का मशहूर खजाना हमेशा के लिए गायब हो जाए, उसे खोजने के लिए साथ मिलकर काम करना है।

A bad remake of Romancing the Stone. The 2 characters have zero attraction to each other. It's very contrived even for a romcom. Sandra does her usual shtick. The huge guy acts afraid, which they think is cute. Oh and Brad Pitt to surprise you in a cameo. The End.

Awful movie. So wanted this to be good but all they did was copy Romancing the Stone, immasculated the male lead and made a nonsensical plot. The movie just didn't have any redeeming qualities and couldn't decide whether it was a comedy or a serious drama/action movie. Can't even recommend to watch for free.
