About this movie

In this roller coaster ride between Africa and Asia, two first time filmmakers embed themselves on the front-lines of the rhino species genocide where they are given exclusive access to the war unfolding. Carving out six months for the project, the women quickly find themselves immersed in a world far larger and more dangerous than they had imagined, only emerging from their odyssey four years later. Gaining unprecedented access to the rangers in South Africa's national parks and with extraordinary undercover footage showing how the horn is processed, packaged and sold in Asia, filmmakers Bonné de Bod and Susan Scott capture a never-before-seen panorama of the global trade in rhino horn. Winner of fifteen awards, including Best Documentary at the San Diego International Film Festival.

Captivating, horrific, concise and emotional. This is a very fast paced and well made documentary, showcasing every side of the Rhino horn war/crisis. The film shines light on the atrocities that humans commit in the name of greed and self interest. Hopefully more people will stand together to fight for the rights of the Rhino, after viewing this. At least everyone will want to adopt a baby Rhino after watching this.

Had wanted to see this movie, it was a moving movie that did not pull any punches. It follows the battle to save the precious rhino from the poachers, the struggle to bring these poachers to task in the court of justice. It is a must see movie and I personally will watch it again even though it brought a tear to my eyes. Well done the Stroop team

A thrilling story of survival, spellbinding to the n'th degree of what obstacles these beasts of majesty face...A force of greed and corruption that must be beaten and ironically , left extinct.
