About this movie

Close your eyes. Open your mind. You will be unprepared. "Sucker Punch" is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors. Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey-if they succeed-will set them free.

I don't know what I just watched, but it was a waste of time and I'm glad it's over. It's full of fantasy and action, but executes it so poorly that you forget what you're watching after 30 minutes. This isn't a chick flick or adventure, it's just empty fantasy. Stick to LOTR, Narnia, and Harry Potter so you won't feel ripped off. Ignore the reviews claiming the low ratings are from close minded reviewers, some people can't take brutal honesty and live in a fantasy world of their own.

Back in the days of Ed Wood and Robot Monster there wasn't much to add production value to a film. The plot of this movie is so bad I'd be surprised if it was a comic book, let alone that it got made into this garbage flick. I can't express in words how much of a disappointment this movie was. Also side note: you apparently can't give zero stars.

A beautiful fantastical music video just full of eye candy but unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters. I think kind of I get what the movie was going for but I just couldn't care enough about anyone in the film. Almost halfway into the movie, I found myself more interested in browsing the internet on my smartphone while the movie continued to run on my tv via chromecast.
