Following a whirlwind courtship, acclaimed playwright Myra Hudson marries Lester Blaine, a slick actor she has just fired from her latest play. Shortly after the honeymoon, Myra overhears Lester and his lover, Irene, plotting to murder the wealthy writer for her inheritance.
