Much has happened since the various couples first came together. Elfrida and Oscar have taken up residence together and are dealing with the aftermath of the death of Oscar's wife and daughter. Meanwhile Carrie and Sam find their relationship coming under pressure when the seductive writer Alexia tries to band with Sam and not only in a professional sense. Young couple Lucy and Rory also face the dangers of jealousy. As the different stories connect and interact with each other everyone is finally forced to show where their loyalties lie. And just how much they are willing to risk.
