This movie isn't bad. But it missed the mark I think they were trying to hit. The young kids working together in an adventure ala stand by me, it, the sandlot, the goonies etc. These kids don't interact much and when they do it's hollow. There isn't much time spent on any of the kids outside of the main protagonist. They probably should have just written it without them or done a better job with them. Also I think the opening is done in the wrong order. Placing suspicion immediately destroys tension especially when we haven't met any of the characters. But all in all its a decent movie that doesn't rely basically at all on its 80's setting, or kid group dynamic.

It's trying to be Goonies mixed with Stranger Things and Disturbia. The characters are decent, the script is good and I had no issues with this movie up till the final third of it. The parents were unbelievable and the conclusion of this movie will leave some happy with a twist, while others will absolutely hate it. I'm somewhere inbetween those sentiments.

loved the movie but like said by Lucas the dynamic between the the children should have been more in depth and felt like there was more history between them otherwise 8 think the movie was great and had a great ending.
