Some of these other reviews are toxic af and hella ignorant, lol, but to each their own. You have to look past the surface of the main premise and dig into the metaphysical nature of the movie (like other good films worth their salt) to see that it's about the nature of human existence and the willingness to PRESERVE life and those we love (and if u happen to know or like allegory, spiritual, or western astrological things -even if it's just for fun- then you'll come to appreciate this film!

A play on what not to do. Ever. It's the motivation for the entire movie. It's good, great, but they brought the dumbest women on the entire planet. They added nothing to this except shrill voices and opposition to common sense. Watching this you realize none of this should have happened. It does take some suspension of disbelief. Other than that, one of my favorites. Paradoxical to say the least.

Our world and humanity is about to go extinct. The only thing that can save us is to increase the suns mass. We send the best astronauts to save us... Twice... This is why this movie is stupid. Apparently at the time of the end of the world the best astronauts we've got are petulant children who are selfish, untrained, and mentally unstable. I'm all for horror in space but not like this.
