DC Animation gives us an enjoyable, albeit a bit far fetched, superhero story in this installment. The heart of this story is the relationship between Superman & Batman. Their dialogue is great and you really believe they are good friends who have each other's backs. Yet while that dynamic is enjoyable, there are other things that just seem out of place. I'll highlight just 2: Lex Luthor doesn't quite fit in with the tone, & Power Girl is so sexualized it makes for some pretty awkward scenes.

Overflowing with superpowered beat downs! One after another, the fight scenes are endless! Superman and Batman go up against a mega rogues gallery of villains in this epic team-up story. The story, featuring Lex Luther as the POTUS, is pretty fun. And seeing busty Powergirl is always a pleasure. The banter between Toy Maker and Powergirl is priceless! My only complaint is that the animation, while totally competent, still totally stinks. Especially Superman. Those square jawlines are a big NO

Finally, a cartoon for all of the folks who've been writing Batman/Superman slashfics over the years... Everyone is rocking a Magic Mike XXL body and ridiculously tight clothes. Superman literally cradles Batman in his powerful arms at one point in the movie. The playful banter between these two holds at a perpetual simmer. This is--in the literal, nonpejorative sense--the gayest super hero cartoon not animated by Robert Smigel. And you know what? That's just fine. Don't believe me? Just watch!
