On the verge of giving up his powers for love, Superman (Reeve) is confronted by three super-criminals from his home planet who have escaped imprisonment and come to Earth with the same abilities as the man of steel. Richard Lester's Superman 2 is a good Superman movie, better than his Superman 3 and his horrible Superman 4: The Quest for Peace. But not better than Richard Donner's Superman 1978 and Superman 2: The Richard Donner Cut. The Richard Donner Cut is the true Superman 2. In other words, Richard Donner is a better director than Richard Lester.

Definitely the best superman movie that I personally have ever seen. An excellent comedious all around film that I say can be watched with kids 8+. Also this general Zod is way better than that fat guy whos been in the new films.
