За филмов

Golden Globe-nominee Christopher Reeve reprises his popular title role in the fourth and final installment in one of the all-time most successful motion picture series ever (earning $320,000,000 combined). Here the Man of Steel is faced with his most important and toughest mission ever -- to rid the world of all nuclear armaments. But first he must win his battle against Lex Luther's new creation whose powers equal, if not surpass, those of Superman. This installment reunites Oscar-winner Gene Hackman ("Unforgiven," "The Firm"), Margot Kidder, Jackie Cooper and Marc McClure and co-stars Mariel Hemingway ("Civil Wars," "Star 80") and Jon Cryer ("Pretty in Pink"). I can't say much for this film, other than this is why unmasked characters often kill actor's careers. On a plus side, at least Johnny Depp had a beard in PotC, so he could shave and move on. Christopher Reeve, baby faced and exposed, never recovered from the disaster that was Superman 3 and this, well, this was actually worse. And people say Man of Steel was garbage :P

Movie had a good concept behind it. But after the disaster that was Superman 3,the attention to quality just wasn't enough. Nuclear man could have been a great character. But he wasn't thought out far enough. Several concepts or plotlines weren't realized. This only left the basic framework of a story. It was far to simple. Despite genuine attempts to direct the movie better than 3

This Superman really scraped the bottom of the barrel as action and adventure was replaced with silliness and the comedy dived into campy with its forced message about nuclear disarmament. Bad script, forgettable villain, and awful visual effects not only brought the end of an era, it killed it.
