Businessman Charlie Blake is wound as tightly as the wristwatch he slavishly obeys. He's all "hurry, hurry, ding, ding," free-spirited Brooklynite Sara Deever says. He's also perfect for her next human salvage project. She'll welcome Charlie into her romantic life for one month -- and one only. Then, Mr. November must step aside for Mr. December.

Charlie and Sara share the life-altering power of love in the witty and wistful Sweet November, from Summer of '42 author Herman Raucher and remade 33 years later (with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron). Anthony Newley plays the increasingly unwound and smitten Charlie. I enjoyed this version of sweet november. It was beautiful throughout.

I saw the newer version first and was far more moved by the older version.
