One could say I "grew up" with this movie, in that during the transitional summer of high school to college a friend and I worshiped this film. It holds much in sentimental value alone for me, but viewed objectively and on its own it is still a superbly put together comedy. Great acting, wonderful edits, and fantastic writing. There are some great lines here.

The synopsis above makes this movie sound much dumber than it is. Vaughn gives a peak performance as the slick but compassionate friend. Favreau's dumped-boyfriend character is perfectly pathetic. The scenes with their group of friends have real energy. Loaded with funny moments that aren't milked too hard. Watch this movie a couple times and you'll have a half-dozen new favorite catch-phrases. This place is dead, I'm headed to the Dresden Room.
