I to år har Bruce Wayne spredt skræk og rædsel blandt forbrydere og lyssky elementer i Gotham City under dække af sit alterego Batman. Den kappeklædte korsfarer er i indbyggernes øjne den personificerede kamp for retfærdighed, selvom han kun har få allierede blandt byens mest magtfulde personer. Da en morder pludselig begynder at dræbe Gothams elite med brug af ondskabsfulde maskiner, fører sporene Batman ned i dybet af den kriminelle underverden, hvor han møder Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, Carmine Falcone og Edward Nashton/Riddler. Efterhånden som omfanget for skurkens planer går op for Batman, bliver han tvunget til at danne nye alliancer, så han kan fange forbryderen og rydde op i den korruption, der længe har plaget Gotham City.

I went to see this in the cinema and it was a MASTERPIECE. It is one of my favourite movies of all time. All the actors were incredible in this movie. Robert Pattinson is amazing as Batman. It is the movie of the year

Bring back Christian Bale, story was weak.
