40 years, 45 million arrests, $1 Trillion -- America's longest, most tragic and costliest war is the so-called War on Drugs. Are drug laws fair? Should a drug sentence be a life sentence? The House I Live In examines the case from the perspective of the dealers, the jailers, the grieving mothers and journalists like David Simon (creator, The Wire). A FilmBuff Presentation. This documentary is sorry. It tries to play up the disproportional inequality of America's race. Wants you feel sorrow for drug offenders and find empathy for small volume users/traffickers of drugs. Give me break!

This film makes some compelling arguments about the inequality in the war on drugs. The directors voice over is distracting and unnecessary, if you can get past that it's definitely worth watching.

War in America against it's very own people is this total outlandish BS war called " the war on drugs" it is nothing more then hate crimes, robbery, thievery, murder, deceptive, propaganda against the citizens of this country. President Regan had a drug addicted junkie family member who got out of control and so he came up with this BS plan to control his relative and an entire nation with it and after all these years this ploy has done no FKN good and has only destoyed families and lives.
