All the father had to do was turn the fridge sideways instead of having a temper tantrum and it clearly would have fit through. Maybe there's an unintended message there, or maybe not, but you can't watch that scene if you've ever moved furniture and not be screaming "Turn it sideways! C'mon! Dude! ...Sideways! At least give it a try!"
