The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles return in an all-new CGI action adventure, written and directed by Kevin Munroe. After the defeat of their old arch nemesis, The Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart as a family. Struggling to keep them together, their rat sensei, Splinter (Mako), becomes worried when strange things begin to brew in New York City. Tech-industrialist Maximillian J. Winters (Patrick Stewart) is raising up an army of ancient monsters, and only one super-ninja fighting team can stop them-- Leonardo (James Arnold Taylor), Michelangelo (Mikey Kelley), Donatello (Mitchell Whitfield) and Raphael (Nolan North)! With the help of old allies April O'Neil (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Casey Jones (Chris Evans), the Turtles are in for the fight of their lives as they once again must face the mysterious Foot Clan, who have put their own ninja skills behind Winters' endeavors. Honestly, I liked this show and most things about it, but with such a serious flaw as April and Jones living together as boyfriend and girlfriend (remember this has a target audience of young children), I can't rate it high. I can't encourage such huge mistakes in family-oriented entertainment. In most family-acceptable entertainment real quality is the main factor in popularity, however, with this film, a clever plot development, a satisfying ending, and much improved CGI over the animated TV series it is a sequel to all just aren't enough when one has to deal with an immoral living situation as an unavoidable part of the movie. In order to rate this movie only on quality, it would have to be a personal copy edited to remove all the objectionable scenes. Then, I wolud assume this would be worthy of a 4 to 5 out of 5 rating, since it is a kid's favorite Nickelodeon TV show made well as a movie.

TMNT is a fun throwback to the classic series for a new generation. Celebrating 20 years of Turtle Power!, TMNT is a solid animated feature from start to finish, with a lot of personality, solid action and surprisingly-good humor. I recently watched the 1990 live action film again and it still holds up, and TMNT is almost as good. It feels like a Ninja Turtles movie and doesn't really reek of studio stink like the original sequels or the more recent Micheal Bay travesties. If you want a fun animated Turtles adventure in which to share your nostalgia with your kids, watch this one and the 1990 film. It is amazing how a series this bizarre manages to make solid entertainment with fair regularity.

I did LIKE this movie but why call it TMNT when all it's about is Ralph being a "Rebel" almost getting his brother killed because he's so jealous that Leo is superior in almost everyway but strength! They made Leo weak and defenseless in this movie. The last 30-40% of it was having Ralph and friends save him.Why mention the other turtles (Mikey and Don) when they barely had a role in the WHOLE MOVIE I'm surprised they made it into the movie itself plus that battle with Leo and Ralph was inaccurate!
