John Wayne stars as a male-chauvinist cowboy who must learn to work for a female ranch owner as he becomes framed for murder in a plot between ranchers and a corrupt judge to steal a young woman's inheritance.

Ella Maines is unbelievably delightful playing a version of an ideal women to dream about. John Wayne helps her look great and is pretty darn good himself.

Suspenseful and hilarious. The Duke at his best along with Gabby Hayes and the gorgeous Ella Raines.
