Timothy Hutton, Sean Penn and Tom Cruise join the legendary George C. Scott in this tense, compelling drama. A cadet major (Hutton) leads his fellow military students in an armed revolt against authorities in order to save their school from being turned into a condominium complex. But when an unexpected accident leads to the school's demise, military discipline goes haywire, with tragic results.
