Gopal, a poor music teacher from Goa, gets a job on a ship to earn more money, but the ship is wrecked in a storm, and Gopal reported missing. In order to keep her family from starving, his wife, Sharda, must marry her rich suitor, Vijay Babu, not knowing her husband is alive and well, living in Africa with no memory of his past life. A snippet of a tune brings his memory back and he returns, but Babu is not pleased to see him.
