It's not a good film. This movie is not about time travel, but time reversal. Generally, Nolan is known for being true to the science, at least in some self-consistent way. But this was just very sloppy in my opinion, with priority given to cool plot-lines over the underlying soundness. Worse that that, the characters seem to have no emotional response to the idea of time reversal. They just take it in as if it's something they do everyday. It's impossible to feel emotionally involved with the movie with that kind of approach. Everything was just too stretched, all in the service of having some cool scenes where people traveling forward in time are fighting people traveling backward in time.

You know the feeling you had watching Inception of "I can kind of see how that would work but that seems like a really thin concept that would probably not hold up if you analyzed it, even from a sci-fi perspective." Well, take that feeling and double it down, because Tenet basically tries to be smarter than a Mission Impossible Movie, more far fetched concepts than Inception, coupled with so many plot holes that you aren't allowed to call out because the response will be "Nope, because Inversion solves everything." I really wanted to like this movie and man, what a monumental disappointment.

It's stupid. Worst soundtrack music that got beyond my last nerve and it's blaring loud. What is so special and futuristic about playing every scene in reverse with a switch to one or two people seeing it in reverse-reverse? Aka real time going forward. So if you see a bullet hole somewhere, run away because it hasn't happened yet. Zzzzzz and if someone dies or commits suicide it's a 'reset' like ground hog day. Its nowhere near Inception. Save your money-play any movie in reverse = tenet.
