While the technical execution here was pretty decent, the Bale Batman voice wasn't even good in the Batman movies, and I just do not see "the main character yelling for a couple hours" as a solid movie pitch. Some of the Terminator scenes were fun, and a few of the human scenes were decent, but the abjectly stupid nature of almost every major plot point lays waste to any chance this had of being a good movie rather than just a fairly pretty entry in the wait-for-it-to-hit-Google-Play rental garbage bin of cinematic history.

I saw this movie before I had seen any other terminator movies, and thought it was quite good. For years I have been hearing about how the original movies were better. I finally saw the first 2 movies and was a bit disappointed. A new formula is good, and with this movie, it worked. To all the haters, remakes that try to replicate an old movie always suck, so look at this as a good change. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves action movies in general.

...and the Terminator franchise drones on...the Ferrari up on blocks...spinning the wheels backwards - not only accomplishing nothing of interest but seemingly accomplishing this nothing with little direction except the eye-candy of CGI. Time is a nebulous thing playing a role in all that we do whether we pay attention or not. Tying together the first two movies and adding the thrill of humanity to the catch phrases, the chases, and the naked folks stealing clothes was what made T2 peak terminator, so to speak. It seems like this could have been done again, but in an unfortunate turn of cinematic events T3 and T4 are recycled scripts with 1D versions of humanity - actors clearly pretending to be about something they are not.
