If you're a big fan of the Terminator franchise you can do a lot worse than this movie. It is for the most part a rehash of Terminator 2, but it has enough going for it to be enjoyable enough. Unfortunately after a very good first act it falls a bit flat in the third, but I'd still recommend it to anyone who enjoys the franchise. Mackenzie Davis is solid and needs to be seen more.

Ugh. Hard to watch. Was looking forward to this but this is just another blah attempt. If you cannot have the original cast then don't even bother...just make a different movie alltogether and call it something else. Would have been great to have the actual John actor and a good story to continue with. Develop him as a character...struggles, etc. Think long and hard at why some movies are good and why others are not then make it..very rare to see good movie nowadays...

There is no issue with women as the leads in this film. In fact I wish Arnold wasn't in the film. The action starts off very well and they have some impressive effects. After the first action scene Dark Fate starts to slow down and the final third of the film is a bit too generic. The airplane scene reminded me of Fast & Furious or Mission Impossible & The Mummy. Stop doing airplane action scenes for a few years. Mackenzie Davis is the star of the film and is the main reason I'd watch it again.
