This highly anticipated new installment of The Terminator film franchise is set in post-apocalyptic 2018, with Christian Bale starring as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. I look at this film as an alternate timeline. I split T1 & T2 place them together in timeline (A). T1, T2, T3, T4, & T5 is timeline (B) The T.V series is timeline (C) Common is crap in this, he should have been killed off instead of Terry Crews. Christian Bale is okay as Conner. Moonblood, lights a fire in me and I want to date her asap. Marcus is my favourite character. Anton is okay as young Kyle Reese. Don't get the little girl's importance. Production design is nice Cinematography is really nice.

It deserves better scores. It's a solid Terminator movie and one that moves the plot forward having the first post judgement day setting. Sam Worthington is excellent as the prototype T-something less than 800 prototype and Arnie is a nice cameo as the first T- 800. It's a good film and adds to the lore in a respectful way. Chistian Bale is amazing as a tortured second guessing John Connor and follows his tortured mother from T2 Excellently. Criminally underrated film. Luv and Peace.

OK so this film doesn't hit the high standards of terminator 2 however as I happen to think T2 is the best film ever made, it does have a lot to live up to. After watching this a few times it had grown on me once I stopped comparing it.
