Yhä enemmän harmistuneena keksijäystävänsä Thomas Edisonin (Kyle MacLachlan) ahneudesta Tesla seuraa omaa hyveellistä mutta hankalaa polkuaan ja kehittää innovatiivista vaihtovirtamoottoriaan. Hänen eurooppalainen luonteenlaatunsa on ristiriidassa Yhdysvaltain lapsenkengissä olevan teollistuminen kanssa, ja immateriaalioikeuksien suo on upottava - ja pikkuhiljaa Tesla jää oman yliaktiivisen mielensä vangiksi.

Tesla is one of the most interesting persons in the history and that's pretty much the only good things I can say about this movie. Movie feels like the director was high half the time just throwing in tons of weird ideas while trying to make a documentary while calling it a movie. The story doesn't take place in the beginning of Tesla story and it ends before his story was over. I'm not really sure what was the point in all this "artsy" trip.
