About this movie

In 1939, a worker has an abortion while working in a slaughterhouse and dies. The deformed baby is dumped in a garbage container and found by a beggar who brings him home. Along the years, the freak creature called Thomas is raised by the Hewitt family, working at a meat plant. In 1969, when the facility gets close down, deformed insane Thomas kills the foreman. His deranged stepfather executes the sheriff that is going to arrest Thomas, and assumes his identity and entitling himself as Sheriff Hoyt. Meanwhile, the brothers Eric (Matthew Bomer - "Flightplan") and Dean (Taylor Handley - "Zerophilia") are traveling in a Jeep with their girlfriends Christie (Jordana Brewster - "The Fast and the Furious") and Bailey (Diora Baird - "Wedding Crashers"). When the group has a car accident, Hoyt arrests Eric, Dean and Bailey and brings them to his house. Christie follows them trying to rescue the trio, trapped in the house of sadistic and insane cannibals, in a trip of horror and gore. This movie was literally pointless. We don't need to keep seeing how it all began we know. I'd like this better if it CONTINUED from the 2003 not go back to the beginning. Its not scary at all jump scares are weak the story wasn't too goo the acting wasn't that great the only ones who were trying were Jordana Brewster and The cop. I just didn't like this one as much as the others

I like that this movie delved into the background of Leatherface and his family, and how Tommy Hewitt became Leatherface. However, the "About this movie" writeup is wrong. The meat plant worker in 1939 who died on the slaughterhouse floor did not have an abortion, she had a complicated labor and gave birth to a live deformed baby who would grow up to become Leatherface.

Easily one of the most brutal slashers ive ever seen. Twisted and gory with a solid plot as prequels go. If you like TCM this is one you wont wanna miss
