As a teenager, an illicit fling with his sexy school teacher catapults Donny Levine into a brief period of borderline notoriety. However, as his fame fizzles out, Donny becomes just another unskilled, unloved, middle-aged loser with debts to pay off. So, when he learns that the progeny of his underage affair is now all grown up and about to marry into a successful family, Donny attempts to reconnect with the son he barely knows, who wants nothing to do with him, and his soon-to-be in-laws.

I can deal with vulgar jokes, but, like any other kind of humor, it gets old quickly (the occasional knock-knock joke is good, too, but a movie filled with them from beginning to end would bite the big one). I'd much rather just watch a Sandler SNL skit, with him sitting there acting like an idiot in front of the whole country...and actually being funny as hell doing it (gotta check out the "Cheap Halloween Costume" skit). In short, this film is an utter waste of a great talent.

Had this movie been released 15 years earlier I believe it would have been an instant hit. The ratings definitely suffered from being too politically incorrect for todays overly sensitive audiences. It's a typical Sandler movie aimed towards adults. It's exactly what I expected it to be. People need to lighten up and not take everything so seriously.

The people who reviewed this poorly don't have a sense of humor. Sandler hasn't been doing well lately, but this one changes that. If you like Step Brothers, Grandma's Boy, and aren't offended by obscene humor the likes of Zohan, then you will bust up laughing at this movie.
