Four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.

Yet another standard fare where the adults are gone/useless and the fate of the world lies in the hands of the kids/teenagers. Heaven help us if that ever occurs for real or we'll all be killed or assimilated while the kids have smoochy kissing moments at inopportune times. Can see the same stuff in shows like The 100, Maze Runner, Hunger Games, Divergent etc etc...

Jesus! What a stinker! I have to say this is about the worst movie I've seen in 2016 so far. It really is just appallingly boring and given that the earth is being invaded you would have to write this story pretty badly to not find some sort of action or adventure... The whole movie consists of Chloe Grace just wandering round pouting trying to figure out the best way to make it through this ridiculous lemon without completely ruining her career.

I can't believe the actors did such a bad job and the director is like yeah that's good enough. Typical moody teens are the only hope to save the world from the horrible adults.
