When Louis Drax (Aiden Longworth) accidentally plunges off a steep cliff on his ninth birthday it is not the first time in his short life that he has faced his own mortality. As police investigate the bizarre circumstances that have placed him in a coma, unconventional neurologist Dr. Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan) attempts to tap into the boy's unconscious mind.
