The Addams Family is a satirical inversion of the ideal American family; an eccentric, wealthy clan who delight in the macabre and are unaware that people find them bizarre or frightening. They originally appeared as an unrelated group of 150 single panel cartoons by Addams, about half of which were originally published in The New Yorker between debuting in 1938 and Addams' 1988 death. They have since been adapted to other media, including the well-known television series, a series of live-action films, and most recently a Broadway musical.

It was watchable, but not really entertaining. Certainly feel I wasted $25 buying tickets to go. Might have been ok if it was on Netflix. The story line is dull, and dragged on, especially considering it was an hour and a half movie and I was looking at my watch by an hour in. Most disappointing movie I have seen in years.

Maybe it is good for children, but this movie just annoyed me. Watchable, but not very entertaining. Think I will stick with the 90's live actions

Thoroughly enjoyed it, my son and I watched this movie and loved it, it wasn't fantastic by any means but I give it 5 stars for the many nods to the classic and the point that we enjoyed it, I will most likely purchase up on release and watch every Halloween with my kids.
