Japan, 1941 With war raging in Europe, Japan's imperial command sees an opportunity to advance their nation's standing in the world. Well filmed and great human portrayal of one of the great military commanders of the 20th century I came away feeling that events and bad luck forced Japan's hand in ww2 Forgetting the subject matter it is a beautifully filmed period piece

Good to see the Pacific War from the Japanese perspective. Excellent direction & production which, displayed a moving and sensitivity about life and politics in Japan which is often missed.

I rented this film and I really enjoyed it. It tells the story about Admiral Yamamoto and how he opposed war with the United States of America. I must recommend this film.
