Conceived by the Lilly & Lana Wachowski, the creators of the films, The Animatrix pays tribute to the Japanese animated artistry known as "anime" and features the work of seven different directors -- the world's foremost anime filmmakers -- from Japan, Korea and the United States.

Great animation! It lets you know just what has happened that started everything and what has happened in between the regular movies. Can't wait until the 4th installment. It better be worth the wait!!

All the short stories are amazing. It has aged very well. There are two stories that give you a history of what led to the matrix. Highly recommended.
