Jacques Vincent Lindon is a respected journalist recovering from a war zone tragedy when he is contacted out of the blue by a Catholic Bishop with a mysterious job offer: lead a canonical investigation into the legitimacy of a reported vision of the Virgin Mary. Arriving in a small French village at the scene of the apparition, he encounters the visionary, young novitiate Anna Galatea Bellugi, along with the defensive local clergy and streams of eager tourists on a pilgrimage to the site. As Jacques begins to uncover the truth in the face of Vatican pressure and the hidden motives of the locals, his beliefs are profoundly shaken in this suspenseful and enlightening drama from director Xavier Giannoli MARGUERITE.
