A gorgeous, sad, happy, feel good story and film. I wanted to read the book before the film but saw the movie first in the end, and will get to the book one day. I enjoyed this for all the emotions it gives, and the beauty, and the cuteness, and characters, and so on. 4 and a half out of 5.

About 10 years ago my husband, daughter, myself and my new son-in-law were leaving for Yellowstone Park and my husband and I decided to go buy a book on CD to entertain us on the drive. After looking through what seemed like hundreds of "books" we turned and asked another customer if she had any suggestions for us. As she thumbed through the selection she suddenly asked if we had heard of"The Art of Racing in the Rain"? BEST STORY EVER!!! Even the "kids"loved it! Movie was just as great! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Heavy movie, it touches way too many critical issues in a functional family. Death, love, intrigue, and a Dog that’s just marvelous. This one is now one of my favorite movies.
