Great special effects and very close to the story...however as I used to read this over and over again as a child it is somewhat disappointing and flagged a bit. Also the BFG is somehow made out to be dimwitted and stupid just because he has a funny way of speaking which kind of frustrated me at times and the subplot with the little boy is a mistake.

This is the best Roald Dahl movie that I have ever seen. I love how the BFG was made and how funny it is I also love how magical this adventure is with the dream tree, giant country and the giants. I also love the part with the Queen, Mary and Mr Tibb's and when they meet Sophie and the BFG and the part with the royal breakfast including frobscottle. I love when they have there plan to stop the giants and Sophie and the BFG becoming heroes near the end of the film. Thank you everyone for this wonderful film :)

Saw it at the cinema! So cool because it's exactly like the book but not. Really good film from Steven Spielberg. Didn't know he was going to do A film like this! Everyone, watch this film right away! The best Dahl film you could ever imagine! Better than the other five which are bfg old version, Danny, the champion of the world, the witches and Charlie and the chocolate factory (1971) and fantastic Mr FOX. Watch this film now and I recommend you watching the other ones too.
