Tish Gray (Hershey) can earn money for herself and her boyfriend Tad (Scott Glenn) while bringing a new life into the world--without the years of responsibility that will follow. Childless Jay and Suzanne Wilcox (Sam Groom and Collin Wilcox-Horne) can become parents of a child to whom Jay will be the biological father. But this seemingly straightforward arrangement strains the relationships and the emotions of all four during their nine months bound together by the pregnancy.
