I grew up on westerns believing all the myth, fast draws, honor, ect but now I know the real truth. It was a hard time and there were some hard men. Men that either did what they had too or men that took what they could. This movie is about as authentic as it could be and still be entertaining. I believe it's a great piece of film. It doesn't have a heroic fight, or legendary gunmen who could shoot the eye out of a fly but it has the spirit of the west. And that's more important. Bill Pullman gives a great performance. Watch it and see.

This is a true western done in the old style. Nothing phony or modern about it. Lefty (Bill Pullman) is a crusty sort that does what he has to do get the job done. The acting is top notch, writing excellent, action well played and the story is outstanding. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good Oater.

Good and unique Western yarn, Bill Pullman is excellent. Good to see westerns still getting made. Beautifully shot on location in Montana. Strongly recommended for those that love the Western genre.
