Deux années passées à rôder dans les rues sous le nom de Batman, semant la peur chez les criminels, ont conduit Bruce Wayne dans l’ombre de Gotham City. Pouvant seulement compter sur quelques alliés parmi le réseau de corruption de fonctionnaires et de personnalités publiques, le justicier solitaire s’est juré d’être l’incarnation de la vengeance. Lorsqu’un tueur s’en prend à l’élite de Gotham avec une série d’intrigues sadiques, une piste d’indices énigmatiques envoie le plus grand détective du monde sur une enquête dans la pègre, où il rencontre Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Oswald Cobblepot (le Pingouin), Carmine Falcone et Edward Nashton (le Sphinx). Alors que les preuves accumulées remontent à la surface et que l’ensemble des plans du coupable deviennent évidents, Batman doit tisser de nouveaux liens, trouver le coupable, et faire punir l’abus de pouvoir et la corruption qui règnent depuis fort longtemps à Gotham City.

That is 3 hours I am never getting back. Nothing new, if you take out all of the film filler scenes you can get this down to 1.5 hours and that would still be too long. Give it a miss or wait for it to come on TV for free. When will DC\owner of the rights stop hashing batman films. Let hom rest for a while and give us more superman, give us more characters just give us more. If not then stop

For the uninitiated The Batman can be very laborious with its runtime Matt Reeves/PeterCraig put a lot into the screenplay for this but for me it helps characterise and stretch out the story , like marmite people will always have their opinions but for me this adaption far exceeded my expectations this grips you from the start with the voyeristic POV of The Riddler and never let's goes , the camera and lighting oozes with perfection , I'm gonna give this a 9 out of 10 as a future classic

This is my favourite Batman movie. it's really the first time we see the World's Greatest Detective being that on screen, especially the first hour which is basically Batman investigating. The movie makes sense, end of the day we live in a post 9/11 world, The Riddler as a terrorist makes a lot more sense, he's far more creepy than Jim Carrey prancing around in a leotard... Hmm maybe not actually 😂 this is why I love DC, they're brave enough to make movies like this and Joker
