Jason Statham stars in "The Beekeeper," a heart-pounding action-thriller about a mysterious Beekeeper. Adam Clay (Statham), a former operative of a powerful organization known as Beekeepers, upends his covert life and embarks on a brutal revenge mission to dismantle corruption at the highest levels of our society.

It is an interesting movie concept, and there is plenty in it for an action thriller. It described an ongoing problem of predatory cyber theft, and portrays an individual rising up to fight back. There are a few cheesy moments: the initial setup seemed forced to get the story started, the hired guns towards the end were over exaggerated with their costumes and portrayal, and finally the ending was mediocre at best. It is worth watching at least once, but when it's on sale or available streaming.

Not sure how this movie got the budget it did. Jason Statham did a fine job with the material he had. The writing is painful. The action is decent and the production is pretty good. If you can turn your brain off for all the dialogue and just enjoy the ride you will be all right.

We love Jason Statham, but we sure hated this movie. Think of every stupid cliche bs in the media right now, and that will give you the ridiculous, plotless, no way that could happen, dumb writing, and terrible acting that was in this 'movie'. What a waste of Mr. Statham's time. Do not waste a dime.
